Support National Board Certification

NBPTS has a wide variety of opportunities to help advance National Board Certification and regularly works with donors to customize special programs based on areas of interest and geographic locations. Explore some of the ways you can get involved and help us in our mission to support and promote quality teaching and sustained improvement in student achievement:

NBPTS Scholarship Program
The NBPTS Scholarship Program provides support for candidates who need financial assistance for National Board Certification® on a national or local level. Scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

NBPTS Candidate Recruitment
Working in partnership with educators, business and community leaders, politicians and other stakeholders, NBPTS works throughout the country to recruit teachers to pursue National Board Certification.

State and Local Policy Summits and Stakeholders Meetings
NBPTS creates opportunities to assert National Board Certification’s impact by positioning NBCTs, members of the NBPTS Board of Directors and select staff before key audiences at events, conferences, editorial board meetings, legislative hearings and other related venues.

Leadership Training
NBCTs have a range of responsibilities beyond classroom instruction that contribute to school quality, and they share an overwhelming desire to be active outside of the classroom to improve student learning. NBPTS taps this potential by providing NBCTs with training to reach out to education policymakers, business and community leaders, the media and elected officials to promote quality teaching.

NBPTS Conferences, Summits and Forums Sponsorship
Sponsorship opportunities are available that enable NBPTS to reach out to larger audiences in support of National Board Certification. These opportunities include breakfasts, luncheons, dinners, speakers and session strands. Exhibit booths are available with recognition opportunities, as well as other co-branding options for different levels of support. Sponsorship opportunities for summits and forums include underwriting support for meals, speakers and entire events.

Trade Show Exhibits
NBPTS seeks funding to participate in trade shows associated with related organizations’ annual conferences by distributing literature and promotional materials. NBPTS makes contact with promising candidates and uses its presence at various conferences in targeted areas to build relationships with education leaders and organizations to advance National Board Certification.

Unrestricted Support
As operating costs continue to rise, NBPTS is continually challenged with maintaining a reasonable candidate fee for National Board Certification. NBPTS seeks contributions to sustain state and local incentives for teachers who achieve National Board Certification, to support growing awareness of certification across the country and to help offset operating expenses to maintain National Board Certification as the highest credential in the teaching profession.
