Mitchell20 is a timely, thought-provoking and inspiring documentary. It tells the story of how one teacher inspired and motivated her colleagues to become a group of 20 teachers who reached for the highest levels of teaching excellence…all for the benefit of their students. Through programs offered by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS), these teachers, with the vigorous support of their principal, sought to be the best they could be.
The film is authentic and poignant in its portrayal of this teacher-led transformation, and is a shining example of the importance and value of the NBPTS mission - to ensure that every student has great teachers and every school has great leaders. NBPTS salutes the film's creators and producers for their compelling work, and for bringing attention to the professional journeys of the dedicated teachers in the film.
