Anna Baldwin

Anna E. Baldwin is an English and history teacher at Arlee High School in Arlee, Montana, located on the Flathead Indian Reservation. She is also the course developer and teacher of Native American Studies for the Montana Digital Academy, the state’s online high school. For four years Baldwin was an adjunct assistant professor teaching pre-service English teachers at the University of Montana – Missoula. She is a 2016 Classroom Teaching Ambassador Fellow with the US Department of Education and was the 2014 Montana Teacher of the Year. 

The Power of a National Board Crew

I knew National Board certification made sense. I knew it would be a gift to myself, some way to address my own needs as a teacher and reignite the passion for reaching every student. I just couldn’t do it alone: I needed a crew. In a tiny rural district, finding a crew for any purpose is tricky, and some of the steps required by the National Board process can present barriers.
