Larissa Wright-Elson, NBCT

Larissa Wright-Elson is the English and Language Arts Curriculum Coordinator for the Anchorage, Alaska School District. For the last 19 years she has been a secondary English teacher in Anchorage. In 2004 and 2013, she earned her National Board Certification in Adolescent & Young Adult English/Language Arts certificate from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Her experience includes 18 years in the classroom teaching 7th through 12th grades, including: AP Language, AP Seminar, creative writing, Shakespeare, American Literature, World Literature, Digital and Intermediate Composition, and Teen Issues in Literature; in addition, she has written curriculum for the Anchorage School District and the Alaska Learning Network. Larissa holds a master's degree in educational technology and is a Google for Education Certified Trainer, Flipped Learning Trainer, Level 2 Google Certified Educator, Apple Teacher, and the 2016 lead PBS Digital Innovator.
