Applications for the 2011-2012 assesment cycle for National Board Certification will be accepted through January 18, 2012.

The portfolio due date of March 31, 2012 will remain unchanged.

Before you submit your application for National Board Certification, be sure that you read and understand all of the important information that will be relevant to your candidacy:

• Have you read and do you understand all of the policies, procedures and timelines outlined in the Guide to National Board Certification (PDF - 1.7mb)?
• Do you meet the eligibility prerequisites for seeking National Board Certification?
• Have you learned about fee assistance that may be available in your state, and are you familiar with your state’s process and deadlines for applying for available funding? Visit the State & Local Information page for more information.
• Do you wish to request testing accommodations?

Establish an account with NBPTS

The first step is to set-up your My Profile account, which will be your link to NBPTS and a lifetime of educational leadership!

NOTE: If you are currently, or were previously a candidate or Take One! participant, please do not establish a new account. Proceed past the set-up instructions and use the link to access My Profile and login using your User Name and Password. Once you have logged in, select the Make a Purchase tab to access the application. If you do not know your User Name and/or your Password, please reset your Password and retrieve your User Name by clicking RESET PASSWORD, or you may call 1-888-780-7805 for assistance.
