Candidates are organized in the system by the two-digit code that identifies their certificate area. Therefore, the first piece of information you should provide to the person scheduling your appointment is this two-digit certificate code. This two-digit code is found on your Authorization to Test next to the certificate name. Only provide your eight-digit candidate ID number after you have given this two-digit certificate code.

When you call to schedule your appointment and provide your candidate ID, the system will automatically identify your specialty area. If you require a specialty area change, please allow 10 business days prior to your scheduled appointment for the path change to be processed by NBPTS and received at Prometric.

    For WLOE and Music Candidates

Due to the nature of the Music and World Languages Other than English certificate areas, exercises are administered to candidates differently. Please refer to the Assessment Center Orientation Policy and Guidelines for specific information related to these exercises.
