Profiles in Excellence | Forums and Events
NBPTS is pleased to present opportunities for accomplished teachers, administrators, policymakers and other education stakeholders to join in transforming the nation's schools, not one teacher at a time, but in a systematic movement to change whole schools and districts.
(July 19, 2010) Please join NBPTS at a panel discussion and reception highlighting the new report and national implications for Profiles in Excellence - Washington State Using a Statewide Coalition to Transform Teaching through National Board Certification. (Spring/Summer 2010) Discuss the blueprint for the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act released by the Department of Education. The first set of webinars included presentations and Q&A with Assistant Secretary for Planning, Evaluation, and Policy Development Carmel Martin and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Planning, Evaluation, and Policy Development Judy Wurtzel. Future events will include townhall meetings. Materials for the recorded webinars, including the Powerpoint presentation, webinar transcript, and survey results from webinar participants are currently available. A townhall meeting with the Department of Education to continue the conversation is still under discussion for this summer!
