This session will provide a sampling of opportunities for involvement in Education Reform Efforts at the national, state, and local level that go beyond recruiting candidates and advocating for National Board Certification. An overview of grants offered by U.S. Department of Education will also be provided.
This session will provide a tutorial on how NBCTs can better understand education research and its use in education policy. The session will also provide guidance on using research and data in ways that help guide decision making at the national, state, local, and school levels. An introduction to education research data sources may be included in the presentation.
This session will provide an introduction to the new online Candidate Support Provider Course that is currently in the pilot phase, as well as an update on the face-to-face module launched in fall 2008. NBPTS encourages new and veteran NBCTs interested in supporting candidates to participate.
