Take One!®

Take One! is a classroom-based professional development program that allows educators to complete one portfolio entry and have it scored in accordance with NBPTS standards. Take One! requires that educators have access to a preK-12 classroom in order to complete the portfolio entry.

As a diversity initiative program, Take One! allows teachers in high-need schools to engage in the National Board Certification process one step at a time. Teachers can evaluate the process and its impact on their classroom, and choose to apply their scores and pursue full certification the following year. This initiative combines the goals of THNI and Take One!
