Take One!®

As part of NBPTS’s Targeted High Need Initiative, Take One! is used as a vehicle to develop professional learning communities and increase collaboration among school faculty member while focusing on NBPTS Standards. Participating schools encourage cohorts of teachers and school leadership to participate in this activity together. Take One! helps teachers plan and achieve specific learning outcomes and adapt their teaching practices to the needs of individual students. This whole school focus on student learning reinforces a strong link between instructional goals, teaching practice and student learning and enhances the instructional environment.
