Montana Candidate Financial Support

Montana is pleased to announce that funding is available to help offset the cost of the assessment fee. This funding is made possible through a Federal Subsidy grant from the United States Department of Education. Please read the information below for specific details, deadlines and contact information.

Funding Available

Funding Available - First-Time Candidates Federal Funding
The Montana Professional Teaching Foundation (MPTF) will utilize NBPTS Candidate Subsidy funds to support eligible Montana candidates at up to 50% of the certification fee. Candidates are responsible for submitting the unsubsidized portion of the fee. Candidates will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis and must meet NBPTS and MPTF eligibility guidelines. Teachers interested in using candidate subsidy funds to help with the fee MUST submit a copy of their NBC application or a copy of their online, e-mail, or official candidate confirmation to the program administrator. Such confirmation must contain the candidate's National Board Certification Candidate ID number.
