Liberty Mutual provides scholarships to first-time candidates nationwide who have previously completed Take One!.
GlaxoSmithKline Endowed Scholarship Fund
Through a generous $1 million endowment, GlaxoSmithKline provides scholarships to science teachers nationwide. Eligible teachers must be first-time candidates pursuing certification in the Early Adolescence/Science or Adolescence and Young Adulthood/Science.
State Farm Companies Foundation
State Farm®, as a partner in the America’s Promise Alliance, seeks to promote a quality education for all children through its support of NBPTS scholarships. Eligible teachers must be first-time candidates teaching in a selected public school district in one of the following 19 metropolitan areas: Albuquerque, Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Jackson, MS, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Louisville, KY, Nashville, Oakland, CA, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Francisco, San Antonio and Washington, D.C. Selected public school districts from these cities are eligible.

Edward B. Rust Jr. Scholarship Fund
The Edward B. Rust Jr. Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to first-time candidates in Illinois seeking certification. Mr. Rust, the Chairman and CEO of State Farm, is a strong advocate and supporter of National Board Certification to improve teacher quality across the country. This fund supports first-time candidates pursuing National Board Certification as part of the Master Certificate in Illinois.
The UPS Foundation
UPS provides scholarships to first-time candidates who teach in Arizona and are pursuing certification in Early and Middle Childhood/Literacy: Reading Language Arts.
Boeing
Boeing provides scholarships to teachers in Southern California. Eligible teachers must teach in one of the following Southern California school districts:
Southwestern Pennsylvania
Teachers seeking candidacy in Southwestern Pennsylvania are encouraged to contact the program coordinator and submit a scholarship application.
Judy Wolpe Endowed Scholarship Fund
The Judy Wolpe Endowed Scholarship Fund provides a scholarship to a teacher in Michigan or the District of Columbia each year. To be eligible, a teacher must be a first-time candidate in these areas. The scholarship, made possible through gifts in memory of Judy Wolpe, will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
National Board Scholarship Fund
The National Board Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to first-time candidates seeking certification. Funding is made possible from donations by:

Northrop Grumman
Northrop Grumman provides scholarships to first-time, advanced and Take One! math and science candidates pursuing certification who teach in schools where 50 percent or more of students receive free or reduced lunch. Eligible teachers must teach in one of the following locations: Huntsville, Ala.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; Melbourne, Fla.; St. Augustine, Fla.; Baltimore, Md.; Louisiana and Mississippi Delta regions (critical needs areas); the Long Island region in New York; Washington, D.C.; and the Stafford County, King George County, Hampton Roads, Newport News and Northern Virginia regions.

GlaxoSmithKline
Scholarships from GlaxoSmithKline are available to first-time and advanced candidates teaching in the Pittsburgh Public Schools and Philadelphia Public Schools. Eligible teachers must be seeking certification in the following fields:
Georgia-Pacific
Georgia-Pacific provides scholarships for Atlanta Public School teachers seeking certification. Eligible teachers must be first-time or advanced (maximum of $500 per teacher re-taking entries) or Take One! candidates who teach in the Atlanta Public Schools. Interested candidates should send an e-mail to the program coordinator, copy the scholarship manager and submit a scholarship application.
The Pittsburgh Initiative II
The Pittsburgh Initiative II The Pittsburgh Initiative II provides scholarships for Pittsburgh Public School teachers and state licensed school counselors seeking National Board Certification. Generous contributions have been provided from the Grable Foundation. Eligible teachers must be first-time or re-take candidates. Interested candidates should submit a scholarship application and then confirm their interest by reaching out to either Rosalie Dibert or Rhonda Graham.

Chase
Chase provides scholarships to teachers in Utah. Funds are available in Utah for first-time, re-take or Take One! candidates. Interested scholarship applicants need to log into My Profile to apply for scholarships.
Chase
Through a bank program that donated a portion of debit-card purchases to benefit schools, Chase provides scholarships to first-time and re-take candidates. Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis to teachers nationwide in low-performing schools.
Tier I Scholarships (select states in which a cohort is required)
To qualify, teachers must: 1) have completed the scholarship application 2) have identified at least three teachers from their school district who will form a cohort to complete the requirements of National Board Certification.
First-Time and Re-take Scholarships are available in: Denver, CO; Jacksonville, Miami-Dade, Orlando, Tampa, FL; Boise, and Moscow, ID; Portland and Salem, OR; Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, TX; Salt Lake City, UT; Seattle and Tacoma, WA.
First-Time Scholarships are available in: Chicago, IL.
Re-take Scholarships are available in: Atlanta, Augusta, Savannah, GA; Las Vegas, NV; Albany, Buffalo, New York City, Rochester, Syracuse, NY.

Stuart Foundation
The Stuart Foundation provides scholarships to first-time, re-take and Take One! candidates. Eligible teachers must participate in a candidate support program offered by one of California's newProfessional Teaching Development Centers. Interested candidates should submit an NBPTS scholarship application and send an e-mail to the appropriate center, copying the NBPTS scholarship manager.

CITGO
CITGO provides scholarships only for Corpus Christi Independent School District teachers seeking certification. Eligible teachers must be first-time or re-take candidates in CCISD. Awards for first-time candidates are $750, and awards for re-take candidates cover 75 percent of the total cost of up to four entries. Interested candidates should send an e-mail to the scholarship manager and submit a scholarship application.

Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation
The Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation provides scholarships to mathematics and science teachers in its operating locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Washington. First priority is given to these operating locations until June 1 of each year when science and math teachers in other areas across the Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation states, as well as teachers in the early childhood and middle childhood generalist fields, become eligible to receive for scholarships if funding remains for any given cycle.
Teachers can apply immediately if they are seeking certification in Early Adolescence/Science, Adolescence and Young Adulthood/Science, Early Adolescence/Mathematics, andAdolescence and Young Adulthood/Mathematics.

Governor Hunt Scholarship Fund
The Governor Hunt Endowed Scholarship Fund provides a scholarship to a science teacher each year. Governor Hunt, the founding chair of the National Board, is a strong advocate and a steadfast supporter of National Board Certification and effective policies supporting the teaching profession. Eligible teachers must be first-time candidates pursuing certification in Early Adolescence/Science or Adolescence and Young Adulthood/Science.
Friends of Philly Scholarship Fund
Friends of Philly provides scholarships up to $1250 to first-time candidates who are not eligible to receive funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Unlike other scholarships, the Friends of Philly scholarship has a repayment commitment that binds candidates who withdraw and those who achieve certification to repay the scholarship. Eligible candidates are employed under contract with the School District of Philadelphia and are engaged in the support program offered through Temple University. Interested candidates should submit a Friends of Philly scholarship application.
Friends of Florida
Friends of Florida provides scholarships of up to $1,250 to first-time candidates who are not eligible to receive fee subsidy funds through the Florida state subsidy administrator. Eligible teachers must be first-time candidates teaching in Florida. Interested candidates should send an e-mail to thescholarship manager and submit a scholarship application. Candidates who have previously, or are currently in the process of obtaining federal monies to pay the assessment fee (such as from TIF, Title I or Title II monies which may be available through your school or school district) are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Friends of Alaska
Friends of Alaska provides scholarships to first-time candidates who are not eligible to receive fee subsidy funds through the Alaska state subsidy administrator. Eligible teachers must be first-time candidates teaching in Alaska. Interested candidates should submit a scholarship application.
The Roy E. Barnes Scholarship Fund
The Roy E. Barnes Scholarship Fund provides a scholarship to a teacher in Georgia. Governor Barnes, the chair of the NBPTS Board of Directors, has supported National Board Certification as a way to both encourage and reward great teaching. Eligible teachers must be first-time candidates teaching in Georgia. Currently, all funds have been allocated.
The Rebecca A. Palacios Scholarship Fund
The Rebecca A. Palacios Scholarship Fund provides a scholarship to a teacher in Texas. Dr. Palacios served as the vice chair of NBPTS Board of Directors, 2003-2009, and as a founding board member, 1987-1994, of the organization. She has the distinction of becoming the first director to pursue and achieve National Board Certification. Eligible teachers must be first-time candidates teaching in Texas. Currently, all funds have been allocated.
Friends of South Carolina
Friends of South Carolina provides scholarships to first-time candidates who teach in South Carolina. Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come/first-served basis. Interested candidates should submit a scholarship application.
Friends of Alabama
Friends of Alabama provides scholarships of $1,250 to first-time candidates who teach in Alabama. Candidates qualify for these scholarships if they were not eligible to receive federal fee subsidies awarded to NBPTS under a grant from the US Department of Education, which are allocated to candidates for National Board Certification by the Alabama State Department of Education. First priority is given to those who have previously completed Take One!. On November 1, 2011, if funds remain they will be made available more broadly in the state. Interested candidates should submit a scholarship application.
Friends of Ohio
Friends of Ohio provides scholarships to first-time candidates who teach in Ohio. Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come/first-served basis. Interested candidates should submit a scholarship application.
Friends of Fulton County
Friends of Fulton County provides scholarships of $750 to first-time candidates who teach in Fulton County, Georgia. Eligible candidates must have previously completed Take One!. Interested candidates should submit a scholarship application.
Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola provides scholarships to teachers nationwide. Funds are available for first-time candidates. Interested scholarship applicants need to log into My Profile to apply for scholarships.
